Notes on time

Time is elastic
It stretches out to the edges of his bed
It fills the room
All the way to the ceiling
Blocking the door
And keeping him in his bubble

Time is irrelevant where he is
It could be 3 months or 3 years for all he knows
Past and future have no relevance
There’s only the relentless now
Existence floating in thoughts
Shielded by solitude

Time is chasing up on him
He swallows the bittersweet pill and drifts
Onwards through the fog
Clinging to structure where intuition fails him
Tasks to complete so numbness can’t take over
He succeeds some times
